Team LEAF was at the high school today getting interviewed for another article that should be in the post dispatch sometime next week. We will post the aritcle on the web site as soon as it shows up.

We removed most of the grass that was growing through the rocks.
We also put down some more rocks to hopefully prevent the growth of any more grass through the area.

We are dropping google adwords for the time being to focus the rest of our winnings on ensuring that some form of green energy is brought into the district through the high school. We are hoping for solar panels but cheaper more cost effective alternatives such as solar roof tiles might work better for us.

We were featured in the Local News section on the 2nd page of the April 9th Saint Louis Post-Dispatch and on their blog! We recieved notification today from our teacher sponsor, Sarah Barton, that our team was one of the 7 first prize winners in the final Lexus Eco Challenge!
The $30,000 prize breakdown is as follows:
$7,000 for our school. (We plan to add this to the solar panels fund started as the senior gift last year.)
$3,000 for our teacher sponsor to use on her classroom.
$4,000 in scholarships for each member our our team. (Mark Wilensky, Rivka Feinberg, Natalie Krebs, Ginal Wilmott, & Max Montaldo)
The winners of this final challenge will officially be announced on April 22nd (Earth Day)
